Woman slashed Leonardo DiCaprio’s face mistaking him for ex

He went on saying, “That this woman became a fugitive from justice for five years to avoid responsibility and that Mr. DiCaprio has fully cooperated with the prosecution from Day 1 should say everything. This woman has a long criminal history of violent criminal attacks on others and should be given no attention whatsoever.”

This was however not the first time Wilson was involved in violence. And following the attack, she fled the U.S. and had been on the run for five years which is why the court case took place 5 years after the initial attack. She was apprehended in Canada in 2010 and was then held in Los Angeles where she was held on a $150,000 bail as she awaited trial.

DiCaprio did not attend the hearings in 2010. She would stand to get a sentence of 7 years if the case went to full trial and found her guilty. It was resolved before going to full trial, with accepted the charges with no contest. She was sentence to prison for two years, and recieved credit for days already served, with the rest of her time remaining to be served coming up to six months.Continue reading…
