Trump makes brutal decision after National Guard shooting sent White House into lockdown
“The animal that shot the two National Guardsmen, with both being critically wounded, and now in two separate hospitals, is also severely wounded, but regardless, will pay a very steep price. God bless our Great National Guard, and all of our Military and Law Enforcement,” Trump said.

According to BBC News, the Trump administration filed an emergency motion aimed at keeping National Guard troops in DC. Trump also asked Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth to send 500 more National Guard troops to the nation’s capital.
Multiple law-enforcement officials have identified the suspected gunman as 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national.
