Trump adviser issues warning of ICE at Super Bowl halftime show

The announcement was made by Lewandowski while he appeared on Benny Johnson’s YouTube show.

When Johnson was questioned about whether ICE would be enforcing immigration laws at Super Bowl LX because of the fact that Bad Bunny had been tapped as the next performer for the halftime show, Lewandowski said, “There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else.”

He went on to say, “We will find you, we will apprehend you, we will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be.”

The statement comes just days after Bad Bunny and the NFL announced that he would be the halftime headliner for the show performed at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8.

This will be the only time the singer will be performing in the U.S. amid his current Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour.

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, who goes by the stage name Bad Bunny, explained in a previous interview that he did not add any U.S. dates for his shows on purpose out of fears of ICE raids at his concerts.

In the interview, he said, “There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate—I’ve performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful.”Continue reading…
