Today’s puzzle requires thorough analysis and a basic understanding of physics. But even if you’re not a physics expert, good observation skills might be enough to solve it. The puzzle image shows five people labeled A through E. E is pushing a stone down a slope. The stone is spaced far enough apart to fit a head.

Situation Analysis

At the bottom of the slope, D is stuck, with only his head sticking out. Next to him, a swing carries another stone, further increasing its weight. Below the highest point of this swing, deadly spikes threaten C, who is directly below. B and A are positioned further to the side. The question is simple: If E pushes the stone, who dies first?

Ignore the lines on the ground that seem to complicate the scene. D will be the first victim, as the rock isn’t positioned to protect his head. Then, the force of the stone pushes the swing down, and C is impaled on the spikes. The rocking motion lifts the other stone, which eventually rolls onto B. The order of death is therefore D, C, then B.
