Kevin Spacey reveals he is ‘homeless’ after sexual assault scandal

Spacey has still not appeared in any work since the allegations were made. He lost his home in Maryland and was reportedly forced to live in an Airbnb.

He said in an interview, “The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”

“You get through it. In weird ways, I feel I’m back to where I first started, which is I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again,” the actor shared.

“I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain,” the actor said.

Spacey was acquitted on the charges of sexual assault made against him but he has been thinking about his life in retrospect quite often.

“Why was I such a good villain, why did I fit so well into a narrative that was out there? And some of those were important questions for me to ask, to take accountability for where I made mistakes,” he said. “I suppose when I look back, I wish I had spoken out sooner and allowed my voice to be heard more.”

At one point the actor was making a reported $500,000 an episode for his lead role in House of Cards. Now however, he is rarely ever offered a role. He attempted a stage comeback in Cyprus earlier this month. He performed for one night at he Parklane Luxury Collection Resort in Limassol, Cyprus.

The tickets were priced from between $290 to $1,400. The event promised to be an evening fans would not forget, the promotional material for it reading, “With the elegance of Sinatra, the wit of Dean Martin, and a career that spans decades of unforgettable performances, Spacey brings a voice and presence that’s simply unmatched.

“This is not just a concert. It’s not just an evening of stories. It’s the return of an entertainer in the grandest sense of the word—for one night only in Limassol’s most prestigious venue.”

Spacey however hopes that he will be able to make a Hollywood comeback soon, saying,“If Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan [Lowenstein, Spacey’s manager] tomorrow, it will be over.”
