However, others were furious with the actress for appearing to excuse the conservative influencer’s controversial messages. One of those includes the rejection of transgender people, which hits close to home for Curtis, who has a 29-year-old transgender daughter.

Now, Jamie Lee Curtis has decided to speak out amid the backlash. In an interview with Variety, she stated that it was a mistranslation of what she said.
