Humble Beginnings and the American Dream
Long before the world knew her as Lauren, she was born Wendy Sánchez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a third-generation Mexican-American, she grew up in a supportive environment that valued perseverance. After she finished high school, she decided to head west to California to chase new opportunities.
She first attended El Camino College before her academic success earned her a scholarship to the University of Southern California (USC). Throughout her life, she has often spoken about her journey, describing it as her own version of the “American Dream.” She rose from modest beginnings, using her own ambition and grit to build a successful path for herself in the media world.
