Trump’s message concluded with: “Only REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation. Other than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for — You won’t be here for long!”
Despite Trump’s insistence that the suspect in the shooting of the National Guard members, the aforementioned Lakanwal, was a result of the Biden administration’s immigration policies, CNN revealed that Lakanwal actually applied for asylum in 2024 and saw it granted by the Trump administration in April 2025.
When a reported alerted Trump to the point that federal agencies insisted they had undertaken extensive vetting of Afghan arrivals, meanwhile, Trump labeled her “stupid”, dodging the question as to whether the suspect’s asylum approval occurred under his watch.
