Country music star Todd Snider dies at 59 after being hospitalized in ‘violent assault’

Originally from Oregon, Snider relocated to Nashville in the 1990s to study under the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joe Shaver, and other leading stars.

His 2004 album, Eat Nashville Skyline, was considered a vital part of the foundation in the development of alt-country and Americana music.

Earlier this month, Snider was arrested in Salt Lake City on charges of disorderly conduct, threat of violence and trespassing. He was released hours later and transported to hospital to be treated for injuries.Continue reading…
