Al Pacino’s heartbreaking 3-word reaction to Diane Keaton’s death

The news of Diane Keaton’s passing has shaken many of us. And for those who were close to the beloved actress, the news hit even harder.

The Oscar-winning actress died at 79 on Saturday, October 11, with her family confirming that pneumonia was the cause of death.

Now, after taking a few days to process the devastating news, Al Pacino has shared a deeply emotional tribute to his longtime friend and former on-and-off partner.

The Scarface star, 85, who dated Keaton from 1974 to 1990, told Deadline,

“When I first heard the news, I was shaken. Diane was my partner, my friend, someone who brought me happiness and on more than one occasion influenced the direction of my life. Though over thirty years have passed since we were together, the memories remain vivid, and with her passing, they have returned with a force that is both painful and moving.”
