Trump issues disturbing warning to US nationals as administration takes steps to strip citizenship

Donald Trump has made it his priority to crack down on illegal immigration. But on Thursday, in an interview with the New York Times, the president gave a disturbing warning to US citizens.

Becoming a US citizen through naturalization has been an option for hundreds of years. Per the USA.gov website, it’s explained as “the process of voluntarily becoming a United States citizen. Learn about the steps that lead to U.S. citizenship, including the naturalization test.”

To be eligible for US citizenship, an individual must meet certain requirements. Be at least 18 years old when applying, be able to read, write, and speak basic English (depending on age), and be of “good moral character.

However, individuals who have been granted US citizenship through naturalization could be in jeopardy of having to leave their homes. In early December, the President of the United States said he was “absolutely” in favor of denaturalizing certain American citizens.Continue reading…
